COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Our community outreach programs are designed to support the needs of the larger community in which we live.  These programs develop a sense of sharing, helping, and compassion for our students.

The Program

Penny Wars - This year the competition between classes to collect the most pennies will occur during Catholic Schools Week.  The money will be donated to those suffering in Haiti.

St. Vincent de Paul Food Collection - The 7th grade is collecting food items and toiletries.  Please place any items you bring in the black bin outside of the 7th grade classroom.

Novena - In the Christmas spirit, our school comes together to collect and donate items from children's clothing and toys to adult clothes and necessities.  Please see In the News and read about our most recent Novena from the Valley Catholic!

Nickles for Nate
In honor of her late brother, Miss Wynia has started an annual, week-long coin drive called "Nickles for Nate."  The proceeds benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and Daybreak III.

Daybreak III Volunteering

Our science teacher, Miss Wynia, started taking her class last year to an elderly rehabilitation home called Daybreak III.  This year, she takes the 4th and 5th graders every other week to interact with these elderly people.  The students love their special time with our neighbors, and the Daybreak III staff has been very thankful for the students' involvement.
