Welcome To Second Grade

Dear 2^nd Grade Parents,

We are really looking forward to a terrific school year with your child.  We have had a wonderful first week of school together. Your child's positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn really makes teaching so enjoyable. Every student has been making an effort to follow directions and stay on task. 

We have been busy learning the classroom rules and procedures. We made a book about classroom rules. We attended a welcome back to school Mass. 

Next week, we will start our full week of instruction.

Mrs. Villarreal will teach Language Arts: Reading, Phonics, Spelling, Grammar, Writing and Science.
Mrs. Heenan will teach Math, Religion, Handwriting, Social Studies and Science.  
P.E. begins next week. The children will have P.E. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We are lucky to have Mrs. Muller and Mrs. Jew as our teaching assistants in 2^nd Grade.

Please make sure you have carefully read the Parent-Student Handbook.

Do not forget to turn in the emergency card, the signed paged from the handbook and any other items from the supply list.  Please make sure your child brings in a healthy snack and drink to have during morning recess.
