Show & Tell

Show and Tell begins Wednesday, January 28th and will continue through the end of the year.  If your child would like to bring something in class to share with the others, please send it in a paper bag with their name clearly written on it.

The purpose of Show and Tell is to provide for your child an opportunity to stand in front of a group and speak about something of their choosing.  Hopefully, through this process they will become more comfortable in front of the class.  I encourage the children to use descriptive words for the items they bring.

For example: one child brought in a stuffed Clifford dog

    Teacher: "Tell me about your dog."

    Child: "My dog is big.  My Dog is red.  My dog is soft.  My dog is named Clifford."

No child is required to share; while some will want to participate immediately, others will observe for a week or two before committing to the process.  If you have any questions about Show and Tell, please contact any of the teachers.
