Buddy Classes
The idea of the buddy class is to promote respect. It gives students an opportunity to associate with children of different ages. Lasting friendships among students have resulted from this program. Students help their buddies academically and socially. Buddy classes get together for seasonal activities, art projects, shared reading, school Masses, on site field trips and at times, throughout the year, there are opportunities to share snacks together. The older students take pride in helping the younger ones and the younger students look up to the older students as positive role models.
